Spectacle of Migration continues

As I was entering the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, last December 10th, I was overwhelmed by the number of snow geese flying in front of us that I literally stopped the car in the middle of the road. I heard their loudest honks and cackles. The sight of an avalanche or blizzard of snow geese is so breathtaking as they hovered above us and flew to the sides of us. What a striking performance! This spectacle ended as they landed on a field to the left of us. What a blessed day as we saw hundreds and hundreds of them on the water and in the sky. An unforgettable day.
